Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment (Sony)

Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment (Sony)

THEY say you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but with Adam Lambert it’s a must.

The American Idol runner-up with the theatre background appears somewhat in drag on the cover of his debut album For Your Entertainment.

And that’s what Lambert’s all about — entertainment, flamboyancy, controversy and some downright catchy songs.

With a dream list of songwriters including Pink, Lady GaGa, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin and Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), Lambert rocks one minute, camps it up the next and croons soon after.

Most would be familiar with the excellent single Whataya Want From Me while the Hawkins’ penned electro-rocker Music Again should pop up as a future single.

Strut simmers along a swing beat and Soaked is a dramatic, unreleased Muse tune.

RATING: ★★★☆

IN SHORT: Colourful

This Album is a must. It has everything. I'm what some would say " An Old Fart" by age but I have a young mind and this is an Album that I can really listen too and feel very very comfortable with

It's a really good CD. I started checking it out when I heard Muse, GaGa & Pink wrote for the CD. They are 3 of my favorites. I ended up buying a copy and now it's on constant replay along with my Muse GaGa & Pink CD's.

Love this album. :) Mostly loads of fun, but some songs are really moving. Only one or two songs don't do much for me, it's really one of those albums you can listen to a million times. The tracks that aren't on the regular album are also excellent - Master Plan, Down the Rabbit Hole and Voodoo. If you like the album you should check 'em out.

If you can afford to buy only one CD this year, BUY ADAM's. Every song (catchy, emotional or dancy) is a different story, a different flavor, a different rhythm. What makes them look "a whole” ? Is Adam’s artistry, amazing talent and outstanding personality. YES, You are going to listen to that CD over and over and over … and never have enough. Adam is ADDICTIVE.
