“CAT Power and PJ Harvey on a soul trip”.
That’s how triple j’s Dom Alessio described former Albury gal Ainslie Wills, now based in Melbourne.
The talented singer-songwriter is making sure she visits her home town on a tour to promote Somebody for Everyone, which will launch tomorrow night in Melbourne ahead of the Albury gig at The Lounge on June 10.
Somebody for Everyone
has been described as a moody love-and-love-lost-inspired EP and its impressive first single Wide Load has already received national radio airplay.
Ranging from evocative and challenging tunes to uplifting ballads, Wills’ lyrics encompass varied emotions and her sultry vocals are complemented by catchy guitarwork and appealing melodies.
RATING: ★★★½
