An inaugural signing of the Oz hip-hop label, Reason is retiring from the mic, but goes out with a bang on Window Of Time.
“The siren has sounded”, he writes in the liner notes but plenty of the genre’s biggest names help make Reason’s grand final a memorable one.
Hilltop Hoods DJ Debris handles some of the nicest production, including Kosher (with some nifty verses from the rapper’s daughter) and the high-energy Action with Lotek.
Fellow Hood Suffa takes control of the smooth I Want ... while classic Oz hip-hop is on show, complete with cuts from Hacksaw, on CD highlight Truth — featuring commanding appearances from fellow vet Bias B, Dialectrix and Joyride.
