Australia A ends series with draw

DARWIN - Australia A has had a disappointing end to the first leg of its Top End Cricket Series with a draw against Pakistan A in Darwin yesterday. The home side set Pakistan A a target of 245 with a minimum of 40 overs to be played, after declaring its second innings at 6-165.

But the loss of several quick wickets slowed progress, and both captains called off play with about 10 overs to play as hopes of a result faded.
