Congratulations to Courtney, Coral, Pat, Heather, Colleen and Elaine in bringing the Kelly Rose Bowl back to Grenfell from Boorowa.

It is ten years since Grenfell last won it.

To win, C Hunter, C Perceval, P Brus beat M Gallman, G Antew, J Pollard (Cootamundra Country Club) 26-13, and H Bowman, C Katen, E Hocking beat H Piefke, S Gault, M Penfold (Quandialla) 23-12.

At the end of 21 ends the scores of both teams from each club was added together, giving Grenfell 49 points, Cootamundra Ex Services 42, Young 40, Cootamundra Country Club 39, Harden 31, Quandialla 30, Stockinbingal/Bribbaree (combined) 30 and Boorowa 21.

The AGM is to be held on Wednesday July 4, not July 7 as in the paper last week, sorry about that.

The nomination forms for committee are up on the noticeboard, and nominations close on June 20.

At our meeting held last Wednesday it was decided that the closing date for nominations for all the club championships will close on June 20.

Unless more names are submitted for championships, they will have to be cancelled.

Nominations for SWD committee have to be to C Perceval by July 10.

Have you done anything about getting a team for the Inaugural Henry Lawson Mixed Triples on Saturday July 28?

Entries close on July 14 or the first 28 teams accepted with the $60 entry fee.

There is also another first for GWBC to be held - a Spring Hospitality Day for ladies on September 29 at 10am.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to come and have a go at our great game.

You will need flat-soled shoes and comfy casual clothes.
