MURRAY Bushrangers youngster Sam Reid has been selected at pick number 38 in tonight's AFL draft.

The versatile key position player, who starred at draft camp, was snapped up by the Swans early in the third round of the draft.

At 194cm and 87kg, Reid can play forward, back or in the ruck.

Meanwhile, Reid's team-mates Brayden Norris (Pick 53, North Melbourne) and Taylor Duryea (Pick 69, Hawthorn) were also selected.

Lavington midfielder Dylan McNeil was overlooked.
