FROM festivals to garden visits, markets to exhibitions, theatre to agricultural events, the Manning will be booming with activities over the long weekend.
Organisers of several major events will be hoping for fine weather to allow residents and visitors alike to enjoy some significant community celebrations.
One of the highlights will be the Old Bar Beach Festival, held in the seaside township tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday. The festival has a busy line-up of entertainment, carnival rides, displays, sports and cultural events, all with a fun, seaside atmosphere.
Garden lovers can enjoy Another Walk Through a Country Garden, a Burrell Creek Hall fundraiser on Sunday that will see five gardens open to visitors along with a market day at the hall.
The mullet boat rescue race will be a highlight of the Harrington Fun Day at Harrington Hotel on Sunday, while car lovers are in for a treat with the Great Eastland Hub rally visiting Taree over the weekend.
Art lovers can enjoy the Bald Archies plus works by Elizabeth Haddad and Carole King at Manning Regional Art Gallery while Morland Gallery at Wingham has Flora, Fawna and Others exhibition by Beryl Moriarty.
Horse enthusiasts will be in Wingham for the All Breeds Spectacular at Wingham Showground Saturday and Sunday while theatre buffs can enjoy Travelling North at the Manning Entertainment Centre on Saturday night.
The annual Longview farm party will bring great music to Knorritt Flat.
