Billy's modelling career 'up in the air'

3/11/2008 4:51:00 PM
REDLAND Make Me A Supermodel contestant Billy Bishop says he and love interest Courtney Chircop are "having so much fun taking care of each other" in the model house, but won't be making any relationship decisions until the show wraps.

"In this intense bubble and this magnified reality that we live in, you never know what emotions to trust," Billy said.

"We're just going to be happy and ride it out to the end of the TV show and hopefully things will be the same when we finish."

Billy, from Victoria Point, and Courtney, of Perth, could be separated sooner than they hope, with both up for elimination on this Thursday's show, along with Melbourne school teacher Rhys Uhlich.

Billy, 20, landed in the bottom three last week, despite receiving high praise from the photo-grapher in the photo shoot, which required the models to pose while suspended from wires.

The judges agreed Billy and hot-favourite Shanina Shaik produced the best photos, but put the former Cleveland Sands bartender in the bottom three after he was outshone by rival Tom Penfold on the catwalk.

Billy hoped to make it to the show's final in a few weeks' time, but said he had no clue how the public would vote.

"We don't watch the show and we don't listen to radio or music. We're very kind of Big Brother; we don't get to read the newspapers or magazines," he said.

"I have no idea of how I'm being received out there. We shoot 300 hours of footage each week and it gets edited into 40 minutes.

"This is a real big dream of mine and I just hope people can help me realise it."

Billy can be seen on Make Me A Supermodel on Channel 7 on Thursday at 7.30pm.

If he survives this week's vote but lands in the bottom three again on Thursday, you have until 8am on Friday to vote for him either by texting billy to 191 777 or by calling the phone number listed at the end of the show.

16/12/2008 | So we now have desperate parents attempting to bribe teachers to get their children into a selective high school. What a sad indictment of our education policies, the holy grail of which is parental choice.
