THE former partner of late racing legend Peter Brock surveyed a collection of the vehicles he helped design in QEII Square in Albury on Saturday.
Bev Brock was a guest of the Brock Commodore Owners’ Association of Australia, as part of the club’s annual members’ trip.
The association, formed in the early 1990s with Peter Brock as its patron, has about 140 members across Australia who own more than 150 Peter Brock-modified Commodores.
“This is a review of my life — each one of these cars brings back its own particular memory,” Mrs Brock said of the vehicles.
“I was involved in selecting the interior upholstery and ... every time I see a car and look at a particular fabric, it’ll bring back a memory.”
Mrs Brock said the popularity of the cars was pleasing.
“Right from the outset, there was an HDT owners’ group and it’s kept growing and become what it is today,” she said.
“To see a full range of the vehicles, plus the latest, the newest, there’s a legacy there that cannot be replaced.”
