Cyclist seriously injured after highway collision

A CYCLIST has been taken to Albury Hospital after being hit by a vehicle near the Ettamogah Pub this morning.

The accident happened about 10am in the north-bound lane of the Hume Highway.

It's believed the man was aged in his mid-50s.

He suffered head, limb and chest injuries and was unconscious when taken to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured but taken to hospital for shock.

Detectives have arrived at the scene and the road has been blocked off to traffic.
