Drug bust trio in court

BREAKING NEWS:A TRIO of Albury men allegedly involved in a major interstate drug syndicate which trafficked speed into Albury were yesterday refused bail in Albury Local Court.

Clinton Roy Parkinson, 25, did not apply for bail on 15 drug and firearms charges, including 11 counts of supplying a prohibited drug and two counts of supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

Dwayne Michael Meiers, 43, did not apply for bail on eight drug and firearms charges.

Leslie James Payne, 24, applied for but was refused bail by magistrate Gordon Lerve.

Payne, who police say lives in Albury but occassionally resides in Wodonga, is charged with six offences, including five of supplying a prohibited drug and one of supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
