HUON electrician Lloyd Walker, 23, died after his car crashed into a tree, despite his brother's heroic attempts to save him.
The second-year apprentice lost control of his car at about 9.40pm on the Riverina Hwy, near Lake Hume Village, last night.

His brother, 25 and also from Huon, who was driving behind him, did not see the car hit the tree and intially drove past the crash scene.
But when he could not see his brother’s headlights in front of him for some time, he turned around and found the smash.
Lloyd Walker's vehicle was smouldering when his brother arrived and soon caught fire.
Albury police say the brother hauled Mr Walker from the vehicle and, with advice from 000, attempted to revive him with CPR.
Paramedics transported Mr Walker to Albury Base hospital but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Albury Insp. David Cottee described the brother's attempts to save Mr Walker as "heroic".
“Our thoughts are with the Huon family at this very sad time for them,” he said.
