Students from Peterborough’s St Joseph’s school, and Terowie Rural School had the opportunity to rub shoulders with “That Science Guy” – Nat Scherer, presenter of Mix It Up recently.

The students had the chance to learn how to have good safe fun, mixing different substances together and watching the reaction.

Nat taught the students about polymers, indicators , and created warm snow , small explosions, elephant toothpaste and colored fireworks through chemical reaction.

St Joseph’s Principal , Sister Julianne Murphy said that

the students enjoyed Nat Scherer’s performance

and that, over the previous few weeks, there had not been too much pen and paper work as a lead-up to the school holidays.

“We’ll get back to that shortly,” Sister Julianne promised.
