SOPHIE Buckle and 13 other Higher School Certificate students saw their final school artworks unveiled in a special exhibition at the Albury Art Gallery last night.
Sophie, 18, of Lavington, displayed a trio of works in charcoal-on-wash entitled Passage ... death of a saleswoman.
She had produced it while studying for her HSC at James Fallon High School, where her creative arts teacher was John Skillington.
Next year she hopes to pursue an arts degree at La Trobe University with the aim of going on to a master’s in education and eventually a career in teaching.
Another James Fallon student, Tyson Stephens, plans to study in Melbourne with the aim of opening his own studio and designing and selling shoes.
Tyson has created works he says were influenced by the French aristocracy from the late 17th century and the designs, patterns and illustrations from the period.
The exhibition featured works from James Fallon, Albury High, Murray High, Scots, Xavier, Trinity and Border Christian students.
