HEAVY rainfall has continued this morning across North East Victoria, with stream rises occurring in the Ovens, King and Kiewa Rivers.

Catchment specific warnings have been issued for the Ovens, Buffalo, Buckland, King, and Kiewa Rivers.

Send your photographs and details of today's rising flood waters to newsroom@bordermail.com.au, or click here and have your say

Further rainfall is expected throughout today, and flooding is also possible in the Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta catchments.

The Bureau is monitoring the situation and will issue additional catchment specific warnings if and when required.

People need to realise that if they want to stop and look at flooded areas they NEED to PULL over. I seen a car today stop to look at Les Stone Park which caused traffic behind to congest and get angry. That could have ended much worse and with emergency services on high alert for floods, they cant afford to help at an accident that could have been easily prevented.

It's a bit like the 4wd's driving through the water at Mungab. They must never use their 4wd's for serious off roading and have to do it within the city limits on the black stuff...

Chances are Mick that you were probaby pulled up, on the middle of the road, watching these 4wd's going through the water at Mungab, the fact is this high water is an opportunity to give the ol beasts a good bath after doin the serious stuff (enironmentally friendly & soap free) your obviously not a 4wd'r but i guess its more of spectator sport for the critical little guys who want to sit on the middle of the road and watch & bag others for having some harmless fun in the rain. Maybe you need to do something more fun on your weekends, rather then being purely disparaging of others. Completely agree with Suzie though, thats a much more accurate comment.

Its a bit o a silly season at the moment. but i do agree with suzie. Yesterday on my way to work i saw the aftermath of one accident and was almost in two, just from driving from one side of albury to the other. The two i was almost in was from frustrated drivers tailgating the car in front for driving to slow and having to throw on th brakes, only thing that saved me was the distance i had between the car in front of me. i'm not the biggest saint on the roads but it did show me when i do follow the rules it keeps me safe
