High speed alleged

A 17 year old driver will appear in the Mandurah Children's Court on Tuesday after he allegedly drove a car at high speed through Waroona on Saturday night.

It has been alleged he drove a Ford Falcon through the centre of Waroona at 160km./h in a 50km/h zone.

It is understood the teenage driver returned a blooc alcohol level of 0.1 when he was breath tested.

He was charged with reckless driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence and driving in excess of 0.08.

The car was seized for 48 hours under WA's anti-hoon laws.

16/12/2008 | So we now have desperate parents attempting to bribe teachers to get their children into a selective high school. What a sad indictment of our education policies, the holy grail of which is parental choice.
