Hungry driver's Big M-istake

A P-PLATER returned a positive roadside drug test at Strathmerton on the weekend, in a vehicle already fitted with an alcohol interlock device.

The man, 24, was driving a Holden Commodore when he was stopped by police at 6.50am on Saturday.

He tested positive for drugs and police are now awaiting a secondary test result.

The Melbourne man, formerly of Numurkah, had driven to Strathmerton to get a pie and Big M police said.

Obviously I don't want people driving around whacked off their heads, but drug testing as it stands is fairly bizarre. A positive result can occur weeks after the drug has ceased to have an effect.

That's as if after a few schooners on Friday you get pulled up for it next Thursday. Or worse

No, i dont condone drug use.
