Hunt for ram raid 4WD

07 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
POLICE have appealed for help to find a stolen four-wheel-drive used in a ram raid at Lavington at the weekend.

The white 2004 Mitsubishi Pajero was driven into AllGear Boys Toys in Wagga Road about 5am on Sunday.

A 125cc Bigfoot bike was stolen, the same one police recovered after it was stolen a week earlier.

A Norris Park couple reported the Pajero stolen on Monday last week.

Owner Gillian Stewart said she was disappointed police hadn’t found it yet.

“It’s ridiculous, a whole week and nothing’s been done,” she said.

“More cars are stolen and burnt out and ours has been used in a ram raid. We’re very angry.

“Over that weekend we had phone calls with information that our car was still in Albury. It has been seen around but yet the cops haven’t got it.

“Where is it? The police aren’t doing their job.”

Ms Stewart said she expected her vehicle would be found burnt out.

“It would be nice if it came back driveable but I doubt it,” she said.

Police said several people saw the Pajero at the Wagga Road business early on Sunday.

Acting Insp Mark Watson urged anybody who has seen the Pajero (number plate BSH — 82H) to contact them.

On one occasion in my career, I presented at the vicinity of the main entry door in a club in North Sydney as an armed guard, to protect a brand new Harley Davidson that was on display in the front window of the club. The Harley Davidson was being raffled off. Several vehicles pulled up just off to the main entry door of the club with several males approached the main door entry and attempted to force their way into the club's main entry at 1am. These days when I hear of ram raids in country areas on toy shops, it's starting to become too unbelievable to me at times. Security needed.

Maybe the sign on the door of AllGear Boys Toys ~ saying they were away on Holidays ~ until a certain date ~ was like an open invitation...???

Too Much Information I'm thinking...!!!
