TEN thousand new guides to Albury’s bike trails are now available to cyclists in the city.
The Albury Trails booklet features maps and information breaking down the city’s major routes by location.
It provides details on distance and surface, as well as whether they are flat or hilly, and notes whether the trails are on or off road.
Albury mayor Alice Glachan said the council was working on improving connectivity between the city’s bicycle trails.
“We have an incredible network of trails for pedestrians and bike riders across Albury,” she said.
“The brochure not only outlines the locations of the trails, but also the distance, surface and links with other trails.
“It’s a great way to ensure we all make the most of our comprehensive trails network.”
Albury will also host bike week activities this month.
They include a sausage sizzle, bicycle races and 25-, 27- or 52-kilometre loop rides from Noreuil Park on Saturday, September 18.
There will also be bicycle helmet decoration sessions on Tuesday, September 26. at Hovell Tree Park.
The 31-page trail guide booklets are available from the council offices in Kiewa Street, the Albury library museum, the Albury art gallery, and the visitor information centre.
