WANGARATTA’S Roberto Paino will today announce his intention to run for the seat of Murray Valley in the state election in November.
The Wangaratta councillor and former mayor will stand as an independent against other confirmed contenders Tim McCurdy, for the National Party, and Lachlan Enshaw, for Labor.
Mr Paino is married with two children, works with wife Meg in their small business and is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Appin Park, Wangaratta.
He is expected to launch his campaign at the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre at 2pm.
