Forensic officers had cordoned off a stretch of homes in Borella Road, near the corner of East Street, earlier this morning as they examined the scene.

It is believed the violence was sparked at a house party about 1.15am.

As an ex Albury resident who still visits regularly, I am appalled at the increase of violence, both in public and at private functions. Wagga is the same. Ferals and even "professional" working ferals who cannot handle alcohol, but even sober people with personality problems that make them have a "need" to fight. Albury is a joke, with police numbers way below what they should be for the population numbers, and police management "bean counting" to keep Sydney happy and not rostering enough police on late and night shifts. Naybe zero tolerance for most offences should be the way to go. But no government has the guts to do that.
