A 16-year-old girl has died after she fell from her horse near Wangaratta.
Paramedics were called to the Oxley Recreation Reserve about 5pm on Saturday.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the girl had fallen off her horse and gone into cardiac arrest.
She was incubated and taken to Wangaratta Hospital in a critical condition but died shortly after.
A Victoria police spokeswoman said the girl was from Kialla, near Shepparton.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
