Coming from Nagambie where they owned a motel, the couple immediately fell in love with the region's natural beauty.
So much so they decided to make Walwa a place where they would call home.
Since arriving in 2007 the Caldwells have owned and operated the Upper Murray Resort, enticing more people who, like them, come to take in the sights.
"I just love the hills and the magnificent views," Robyn said.
"We've always tried to run places we'd like to stay ourselves and we just love the hills and the valleys and how green it is here."
The importance of places like the Upper Murray Resort for small towns can't be lost.
They help bring in tourists who spend their money in the town, in the shops and in the pubs.

"We were completely taken aback by the scale and the beauty of the place," Robyn said.
"We fell in love at first sight."
