Tonya Clark and Catherine Carroll gathered in a tent at a picket line near the entrance to the Lavington factory.
“We don’t know what’s going to happen, that’s the hardest bit,” Mrs Clark said.
Her husband Brad has been at the factory for 18 years and she worked there for five years. They have two children, Rachael, 3, and Ryan, 2.
“I’m glad I don’t have to explain it to them, they’re oblivious,” Mrs Clark said.
Mrs Carroll’s husband, Geoff, has been at Drivetrain for seven years and they have two children, Rhean, 3, and Archer, who had his first birthday this month.
“We don’t even know where to go, because I only work part-time,” Mrs Carroll said.
“I’ve only recently gone back to work from maternity leave after 12 months and 15 hours a week is not going to pay the mortgage.”
