30 Jan, 2012 12:00 AM
CULCAIRN has defeated competition powerhouse Henty in one of the upsets of the year.

Chasing Culcairn’s first innings total of 218, undefeated Henty capitulated making just 120 runs.

It’s an uncharateristic loss for Henty, with one of the best batting line-ups in the competition.

Jeremy Finlayson and Simon McLeish did the damage for Culcairn finishing with 3-15 and 2-9 respectively.

In other matches, the Rock-Yerong Creek has fallen short in its bid for its first win of the season against Osborne.

Chasing 232 for victory TRYC fought hard but in the end could manage only 205, 27 runs short of a breakthrough victory.

Ben Davis did most of the damage collecting 6-84 off 24 overs.

Holbrook Colts have continued their ominous form storming to victory against Holbrook.

Resuming on 2-46, Colts finished on 219.
