Hope for big crowd at Bash

CRICKET Albury-Wodonga is hoping local cricket fans turn out in droves to support the final of the league’s twenty20 competition on Australia Day.

CAW is billing the Border Express Big Bash as a day of cricket entertainment for the whole family, with A and B-grade finals to be held at Lavington Panthers Oval from 2pm.

As well as the action on the field, there will be entertainment from Steve Bowen, while there will also be a sports memorabilia raffle.

The bar and canteen will be open.

The B-Grade decider, between Lavington and Belvoir, begins at 2pm, while the A-grade final between North Albury and Tallangatta starts at 5pm.
