TALLANGATTA advanced to the Cricket Albury-Wodonga Twenty20 semi-finals with a 59-run victory against Yackandandah at Tallangatta yesterday.
The Bushies joined North Albury, East Albury and Lavington in the race for silverware by making 7-162 and holding their opponents to 5-103.
Skipper Andrew Lade capped off a fine weekend with the bat by topscoring with 52.
Matt Armstrong (30), Dave Fitzsimmons (29) and Paul Coughlin (25) also made handy contributions as Tallangatta scored at just over eight runs an over.
Yackandandah found the going tough in the chase with big-hitting Mick Walker topscoring with 39 not out.
“We were happy with the win,” Lade said.
“It was a good effort.”
The semi-final draw is yet to be released.
