Bookmaker tips Fev haul

10 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
YARRAWONGA recruit Brendan Fevola may be playing only nine home games but that won’t stop the prolific goalkicker from booting 80 or more goals for the Pigeons this season, says online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.

Eighty majors plus is the $2.40 favourite for the two-time Coleman medalist to tally, followed by between 60 and 80 ($2.60), between 40 and 60 ($3), between 20 and 40 ($6) with 20 or less the outsider at $12.

“Put it this way, we wouldn’t want to be a fullback in the Ovens and Murray comp this year,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

“The Yarrawonga goal umpires will want to have their health insurance up to date too as they will be watching the Burley sail over their heads on a regular basis.”

For most goals in a single game, Fevola is tipped to easily kick 10 or more which has been opened as the $1.10 favourite.

Six dollars is on offer for the former Blue and Lion to kick nine goals in a game with seven or eight goals a $7.50 chance, six goals a $9 chance and five or less goals is at $12.

Sportsbet.com.au has also opened a market on how many times Fevola will kick 10 or more goals in a game with up to three times the $4 favourite followed by four times ($5), five times ($7), six times ($10), seven times ($14), eight times ($26) and nine times ($51).

Did anyone watch Fev's efforts for Casey Scorpions last year? To think an unfit has-been or was-gunna can avarage 9 goals in a very strong league is ludicrous.

Stand up OM. This line of betting has no place in country football.
