BRENDAN Fevola’s playing future took another unexpected twist yesterday when the former Carlton and Brisbane Lions full-forward claimed he was talking to two Ovens and Murray clubs.
While Yarrawonga is in the market for the dual Coleman medallist, the identity of the second club is a mystery after the remaining O&M clubs denied they had spoken to the former AFL bad boy.
Fevola said he was happy with the options on the table and dismissed the theory that the second club was a smoke screen.
“It’s down to two teams in the Ovens and Murray,” Fevola said.
“There were heaps of other leagues and teams, but this suits best.
“Hopefully we can sort it out.”
Fevola tweeted on Saturday that he hoped to finalise offers from the two O&M clubs today and was excited about his future.
Although Wangaratta Rovers had been linked to Fevola after he played with ruckman Karl Norman at Carlton, the Hawks yesterday rejected claims they had been in contact with him.

Corowa-Ruthe rglen also denied approaches had been made through Fevola’s association with the Houlihan brothers.
Fevola expects to play only home matches this season. But his playing future could become more clouded if he signs a contract to appear on Dancing With the Stars.
Fevola, 31, would be the biggest name to join the league since Brownlow medallist Brian Wilson played for Lavington in the early 1990s.
His possible signing shapes as a major drawcard with Patrick Rose, Ben Davies and David Stretton (Wodonga Raiders), Aaron Henneman (Corowa-Rutherglen), Aaron Kite (Myrtleford), Matt Grossman (Wangaratta), James Saker and Brant Dickson (Lavington), Tyson Hartwig and Sam Caruso (Wangaratta Rovers) and Nathan Lyons (Wodonga) already coming into the competition over the off-season.
