The Lions put their opponents to the sword in the first-half and never looked back as the tight-knit defence of Bodhi Butts, Nathan Parker and Tim Doyle dominated in the 20.14 (134) to 9.9 (63) win.
While Tongala had enormous problems hitting the scoreboard, Mulwala finished with 12 goalkickers.
“We were happy with the effort,” coach Tim Hargreaves said.
“Although Lee James kicked five, we finished with 12 goalkickers and I think that’s always a good sign with the finals not far away.”
While Butts played another blinder in defence, Nicholas O’Bryan, Jackson Weir and Thomas Wilson turned in solid performances.
The visitors were only outscored by two goals after half-time with Tyson DiPetta, Matthew Deledio and Luke Guerra holding their own.
Moama’s James Scambler was outstanding in its 61-point victory against Nathalia.
He booted five majors and received plenty of support from James Gilligan, Luke Eldridge, Jye Sellings, Luke Allen and Jade Keam.
Barooga edged out Deniliquin by 11 points.
