Jackson to take helm of interleague again

18 Nov, 2009 01:00 AM
FORMER Wodonga assistant coach Robbie Jackson has been reappointed to lead the Ovens and Murray’ s interleague team next year.

League general manager Tom O’Connor said Jackson was rewarded after coaching the side to a massive 47-point victory against fierce rivals Goulburn Valley at Deakin Reserve this year.

“The work placed into the side in 2009 by Robbie and his team of assistants got the desired result for the league,” he said.

“Robbie has earned the right for first right of refusal and it is great the league can announce prior to Christmas he has accepted the role again for 2010.”

The format for 2010 will once again see the O and M and the Goulburn Valley square off as the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked competitions in the Victorian Country Football Country Championships.

The game will be played within the O and M area on the weekend of the May 22, with a venue yet to be decided.
