NORTH Albury only won one quarter, but it was enough to overrun a tiring Lavington at Bunton Park on Saturday.

The Hoppers' top-three hopes soared with a 14-point victory over the Panthers, who had led for most of the day.

Meanwhile, Wodonga Raiders were found desperately wanting against Yarrawonga, further boosting North Albury's top-three chances.

Wodonga distanced itself from the bottom two, comfortably accounting for Corowa-Rutherglen in a hard-fought slog.

Wangaratta had to work hard to shake off Myrtleford, eventually pulling away for a 64-point win.

Albury was predictably too classy for the Rovers, claiming a 45-point win.

it was pretty funny big hoggy getting most of the ball . The game wasnt all that interesting as north were flat but the last quarter was definately the best with north kicking a goal then lavi but luckily north won at the end of the day. Bring on finals though we have to play way better to get anywhere
