TEAMS ranging in name from the Dingle Berries to the Sexual Chocolates took to the field for the start of Albury Touch Association’s new summer season this week.
But while there were some imaginative names, most of the creativity was happening on the field as 46 teams tapped-off for the 15-round competition at Jelbart Park on Monday and last night.
The association has received strong support from newcomers and experienced players alike to maintain a full quota of teams in three men’s six-a-side and three mixed six-a-side divisions.
Although all divisions are full, any qualified referees interested in officiating during the season are encouraged to contact the association or simply turn up on a Monday or Tuesday night.
Draws and results are available at www.alburytouch.com or in The Border Mail every Wednesday.
