ALBURY snooker player Shaun Dalitz, pictured above, will depart for Ireland today where he will be aiming to be crowned the world’s best junior snooker player.
Dalitz, 19, will contest the world under-21 snooker championships after winning the Australian under-21 title in Albury earlier this year.
The apprentice carpenter said he is looking forward to challenge.
“I’m probably a mixture of nervous and excited,” Dalitz said.
“I’ve just got to put it out of my mind and prepare like it’s practice.
“I’m aiming to make the last 32.”
Dalitz won the Australian under-18 title in 2007.
