Race is on for karters

22 Aug, 2009 01:00 AM
SOME of the top go-kart drivers in Australia will turn out for 2009 City of Wodonga Titles at Wodonga’s Sheathers Road Kart Complex tomorrow.

Albury-Wodonga Kart Club drivers such state champions Jordon Boys and Macauley Jones, son of V8 Supercar driver Brad Jones, are expected to be in the thick of the action at the prestigious event.

Club President John Reynolds said the racing action will be fierce.

“This year we are expecting a record number of competitors in light of the Victorian State Championship (Victorian Closed Titles) being held at the Sheathers Road Kart Complex at the end of this year”, Mr Reynolds said.

The Albury Wodonga Kart Club recently completed their new clubhouse.

The race meet, to be combined with round 7 of the club championship, starts at 9am.
