 Attack on PM was racism

Attack on PM was racism

31 Jan, 2012 11:52 AM
IS it any wonder there are rumours of racism in Australia?

Anyone viewing the disgusting behaviour from the Aboriginal corroboree, in their red, black and yellow T-shirts in Canberra on Australia Day, and the violent assault on their elected representatives by these thugs, saw pure racism in action.

If the viewer, like myself, felt disgust, rage and absolute abhorrence at the behaviour of the individuals involved, they can understand the birth of racism in an otherwise tolerant and, in the main, caring Australian citizenship.

This is not the behaviour of normal people, it is intolerable that this behaviour can be allowed.

The people who caused our Prime Minister and Opposition Leader to require rescuing from a dangerous, out-of-control, mob should be prosecuted and made to pay.

Not with dole money, but out of the total funds paid to support the radical minority of Aborigines who can’t face the reality that to succeed in this nation, Australia, requires work and dedication to self-advancement.

If this is racism then the actions in Canberra have brought it to the surface, and I don’t apologise to tent embassy founder Michael Anderson or anyone else for it.

— TONY CLARKE,

Lavington
