WITH the trauma and heartache of the fires still raw, Victorians need to give thanks for the brave women and men who have put their lives on the line.
Sadly many have also lost family members, friends and neighbours.
Tragically the deaths of some may take weeks if not months to confirm.
We need to pay our respects to all who have died and support those who have miraculously survived.
Therefore, I propose we think ahead and on Neighbour Day, Sunday, March 29, hold events within our own communities which pay tribute to the men, women and children who are no longer with us, and give heartfelt thanks for those who are.
