It was fascinating the way that powerfully articulated ethical positions were put into perspective by simple human realities and those wanting to have the last word were left disappointed.
A community conversation is about giving other people room to speak, think and live.
The respect for an unborn child, whom one has never met, is evidently much higher than towards children and adults who are in a most challenging way are sharing the pavement.
Those who champion the cause of the unborn think nothing of hanging children around their necks and taking them to a picket line and using them as some sort of psychological weapon or shield.
If we play Mozart to the unborn and to babies because of the effect we expect it to have, I wonder what early exposure to conflict might have on these infant protesters.
The abortion issue is also about the use and abuse of power and it is painful to see vulnerable infants being used as a political weapon against other vulnerable people.
