Landmark idea for library

16 Mar, 2010 01:00 AM
WITH Albury Council looking at options for the Lavington Library, consideration should be given to the Landmark building, which fronts Griffith and Wagga Roads.

Benefits would include:

- Outright ownership;

- Usable space well in excess of library requirements allowing for provision of increased library functions such as internet and reading rooms;

- Large existing car park;

- Library entrance facing Griffith Road and shopping area;

- Rental income from conversion of area fronting Wagga Road into shops; and,

- Great location in terms of exposure, access and future growth for library/customer service centre.

— S. WALTERS,

Lavington
