School funding costly for Gillard

27 Aug, 2010 01:00 AM
JULIA Gillard’s extension of unfair funding to private schools cost Labor the support of 180,000 Australian public school teachers and their families.

In return, Catholic and Anglican school lobbyists called on their members to support the Coalition.

When 67 per cent of children attend public schools you would think it would be a no-brainer where political parties should be directing public resources.
