Super play area just over the top

Super play area just over the top

18 Mar, 2010 01:00 AM
I REFER to the Albury Council announcement for a super playground to be built in Oddies Park. Why?

We already have a playground in Noreuil Park near the pool. This area has a toilet block, family oven, high-visibility from the road and complements the pool complex.

We are about to approve the ruination of a pristine park with another playground area that would have little visibility from the road making it open to vandalism (Note: Patricia Gould Park).

And to designate this area as playground for toddlers and children to be shared with “dogs off the leash” is sheer lunacy. I am told this is a done deal by the previous council.

I believe, along with many others that the present council should review this decision, and maybe we could save some funds.

Leave Oddies Park alone.

Albury
