More than 1.2 million people inside Syria have been forced from their homes by the fighting and a further 400,000 refugees have fled across the border.
Many of these individuals and families had to leave their homes without blankets or winter clothes and are now living in makeshift camps.
As Syria moves into winter, when temperatures can fall below zero and heavy rains and snow are common, the humanitarian challenge will intensify.
Red Cross is one of the few organisations with access inside Syria.
We are delivering food, water, blankets and medical care to people impacted by the fighting.
We need the Australian public’s support to be able to help the millions of Syrians in need.
