TWO wild ducks made a splash at the Albury Swim Centre when they touched down in the middle of a competitive swimming event yesterday.

Onlookers were in stitches watching the birds casually weave between the waves of swimmers, even forcing one competitor into a lane rope.
Thurgoona’s Pete Hamilton caught the commotion on camera.
He said the ducks happily bobbed through 10 races until the butterfly competition began and then there wasn’t anywhere for them to go to escape the flailing limbs.
One of the ducks came back again, but it was immediately chased off by another butterfly race.
