Rights on both sides of conflict

WHY is it that our Foreign Minister and the US President say it is OK for Israel to defend itself?

What about Palestine, doesn’t it also have the right to defend itself as well?

Israel is an occupying force in the Middle East and has taken more land since it was first established in 1948, and by force.

It is about time that Australian political and world leaders recognised that the Palestinian people also have rights, which should be recognised.

We should not get involved in who started this conflict, which we have been doing since 1948 or before and as such going around in circles, and the conflict still continues.

What governments need to recognise is that both Israel and Palestine have a legitimate right to exist.

As do governments not supporting Israel, or any other country when they take land by force.

I believe there is a will of the people to peacefully resolve this conflict and hopefully governments will also abide.
