4PM: SOUTH-BOUND lanes of the Hume Freeway are completely blocked after a sickening crash at Wangaratta.
A man crashed his car into a tree near Oxley Flats Road and has been trapped for more than half an hour.
He will be flown to a Melbourne hospital with extensive leg injuries and possibly head injuries.
South-bound Hume Fwy traffic is being detoured via Wangaratta.
The CFA was on hand to help with the rescue.
