The two-day carnival starts on March 21 with the Listed $170,000 Albury Gold Cup (2000m) the next day and will offer a record $540,800 in prizemoney and trophies over the 15 races to be held over the carnival.
The opening day of the carnival will once again feature the $50,500 City Handicap (1400m) plus six supporting races.
In a major boost to the Thursday program, the club has added for the first time a $30,000 Class 2 Hcp (1175m) with the other five races worth $15,000 each.
The 3YO Albury Guineas (1400m) run on Cup day will increase from $40,000 to $50,000 in prizemoney and will again be part of the successful Inglis Race Series with Inglis providing a $50,000 bonus to the winner if nominated to the Inglis Races Series.
The Gai Waterhouse-trained Fat Al won the Albury Guineas and $50,000 bonus this year before winning the Epsom at Randwick in October.
Prizemoney for the other two feature races on Cup day — the $50,000 Flat Knacker (900m) and $30,000 Adrian Ledger Memorial (2400m) — will remain the same as this year.
The four supporting races will be worth $20,200 each.
