Stevenson, a premiership player for Essendon and District league outfit Strathmore, has spent two seasons at Barooga while Smith returns to his old club after two seasons with the Roos where he was nominated for the Ovens and Murray rising star award.
Smith impressed against premiers Yarrawonga this season by kicking four goals at J.C. Lowe Oval while Stevenson kicked 46 in his two seasons with the Murray league club.
The Power has also, signed Sam Burdon (Wahgunyah) and Sean Curtis (Rutherglen) from the Tallangatta league and former players Shay Rhodes and Shayne Matthews have returned.
CDHBU won only four games to finish 11th last season but Power president Mark Tilders believes the club can push for its first Hume league finals berth since it joined the competition in 2008.
“Recruiting these blokes is fantastic and we’ve been able to lock away most of our list from last season and bring back for mer players,” he said.
“The place is buzzing.”
