Megan Anne Reddy, 32, of Myrtle Street, Tawonga, appeared in Albury Local Court on 59 counts of making a false statement for benefits.
Magistrate Tony Murray imposed concurrent community service orders for 180 hours on each matter.
Mr Murray ordered Reddy to repay $28,045.80 which is $100 less than the original amount she falsely claimed.
Her claims were made between January 12 and October 22, 2009, at various Medicare offices mainly in suburban Sydney.
The claims or invoices submitted were each from one of three doctors.
A total of 57 claims were successful and Reddy was paid a total of $28,145.80 by Medicare.
Reddy pleaded guilty to the matters and sought an adjournment in August to access medical records to provide evidence on her health issues.
Reddy said she had been an involuntary patient at hospital some of the time.
She indicated no money had been repaid.
