The codes will clash in a Twenty20 game at W.J. Findlay Oval, starting at 3.30pm.
Organiser Jacob Schonafinger said white balls and coloured pads would be used for the match, which is designed to further develop the relationship between the football and cricket clubs.
“We’ve decided to name it after Kell because he’s been the president of the cricket club for so many years and he played footy as well,” Schonafinger said.
“It’s only fitting it’s named after him.”
The football side will be captained by former Rovers United cricket star Ross Hill and is set to include John Pratt and Karl Norman.
Schonafinger said Hill had kept the rest of his side “a secret”.
“They have got plenty of handy cricketers in the ranks,” he said.
