Both centres are cashing in on the delays to the opening date for the $11 million WAVES aquatic centre at Wodonga’s White Box Rise.
Joining the exodus to Albury yesterday were the Scott-Coutts sisters, Emmerson, 6, Alexandra, 8, Monae, 10, and Mackenzie, 11, from Wodonga.
Mum Tania said the girls had already started playing junior water polo in Albury.
“We live near White Box Rise so it’s a bit of a teaser to have to drive past the new pool,” she said.
“It’s happening slowly; it will eventually open, but it is a matter of time.”
